NEVBC Boys Vision

Our vision at NEVBC is to train our athletes with high level technical and skills training, and in doing so, build the most competitive teams in our region at every age group. 

Our Boy's Club Director, Jon Mercado, is deeply committed to providing the most professional boys volleyball experience in the area. Jon's goal is to build a community around the sport that is dedicated to the NEVBC values of SIMPLICITY, GROWTH, COMMITMENT, & COMPETITION.

Boys Club - Tryouts Info & Requirements

Dates: October 3rd - 5th, 2020​ (Click here for Tryout Times)

Cost: $60 per athlete

General Tryout Information

  • Athletes will be evaluated based on skill level, athleticism, coachability, attitude, and tryout attendance

  • If you're not sure which age group to register for, please refer to the 2020-2021 USA Volleyball Age Definition Chart

  • All Northeast COVID-19 protocols will be followed to ensure a safe tryout

  • If you are not comfortable attending an in-person tryout this year, we are also accepting video submissions (20+ minutes of continuous match or practice footage and a highlight video if you have one). Please get in touch with to set up a video assessment.

IMPORTANT: Tryout Requirements

**Note re USA Volleyball Memberships: The USAV membership system has changed to SportsEngine, so the process for renewing your membership has changed this year. For example, you will not select your club affiliation during registration, as the club will invite you to a team roster after team placements. Please be sure to create your parent account first before your athlete's account, and please read through this page from New England Region if you're having any issues with your membership. 

Boys Club - Program Info & Costs

For the 2020-2021 season, our Boys Club teams will look to improve upon the success of our first season! This season NEVBC will AGAIN start earlier than any other club in the state, which will provide NEVBC's athletes the greatest opportunity to train and improve over a longer season.


Here's what you can expect from NEVBC Boys:

  • Team practice at Northeast Volleyball Club in our 10,500 square foot facility with 3 dedicated Sport Courts

  • Expanded 19 week season, starting in mid-October and finishing in mid-March before high school tryouts

  • Elite coaching staff, including proven boys high school and club coaches and former Division I and pro players

  • Focus on fundamentals and individual technique in team practice, in addition to competitive 6 v. 6 team play

  • 2x weekly (U15) or 3x weekly (U16 - U18 teams) practices and Compete Days

  • Custom sublimated Ren Athletics game jersey, shorts, and gear

  • Hudl video account for U16 - U18 teams

  • College recruiting guidance and support, including the opportunity to set up 1-on-1 meetings with our Recruiting Director

  • Access to NEVBC coaches for private and small group training

  • U16-U18 Teams - 2x weekly strength and conditioning sessions with Upper Deck Fitness, including one session in our onsite weight room

U16 Team Program

Our U15 Team will practice 3x/week in our gym for an expanded 19 week season and play a modified tournament schedule, with regional 1-day tournaments. In addition, this teams will have a volleyball-specific strength and conditioning program in partnership with Upper Deck Fitness, which will include 1 weekly live stream workout with a UDF trainer. In terms of commitment, his program is more flexible than our U17-U18 program and is perfect for multi-sport athletes who are looking to start club volleyball, with less of a commitment than the U16-U18 level teams.

Projected Number of Teams: 1 U15 Team 

Program Cost: $2775 (no travel or uniform fee)

U17 - U18 Team Program

Our U16-U18 teams will practice 3x/week in our gym for an expanded 19-week season, including one Compete Day on the weekends. In addition, these teams will have a volleyball-specific strength and conditioning program in partnership with Upper Deck Fitness, which will include 2 weekly workouts (one of these will be a team lift in our onsite weight room). These teams will play a competitive tournament schedule and attend at least one qualifier. Team rosters will be kept small to increase each athlete's game experience, so this program requires the highest level of commitment.

Projected Number of Teams: 1 Team at each Age Group (U16, U17, & U18) 

Program Cost: $3375* (no travel or uniform fee)

COVID-19 Season Cancellation Policy

Knowing that another COVID-19 outbreak is a possibility, we created a formal policy to protect your investment in club volleyball. If the season is fully cancelled due to another shutdown, we would implement the following policy to determine non-refundable tuition and refund amounts.


If the season continues with restrictions that do not affect our ability to train, this will not apply.
