NEVBC Boys Vision
Our vision at NEVBC is to train our athletes with high level technical and skills training, and in doing so, build the most competitive teams in our region at every age group.
Our Boy's Club Director, Jon Mercado, is deeply committed to providing the most professional boys volleyball experience in the area. Jon's goal is to build a community around the sport that is dedicated to the NEVBC values of SIMPLICITY, GROWTH, COMMITMENT, & COMPETITION.
NEVBC Boys Club Teams
In Fall 2019, we started our first Boys Club for Grades 7-12. Here's what you can expect from NEVBC Boys:
Team practice at Northeast Volleyball Club in our 10,500 square foot facility with 3 dedicated Sport Courts
Expanded 17-week season, starting in late October and finishing in mid-March before high school tryouts
Elite coaching staff, including proven boys high school and club coaches and former Division I and pro players
Focus on fundamentals and individual technique in team practice, in addition to competitive team play
2x weekly (Regional teams) or 3x weekly (National teams) practices
Custom sublimated Ren Athletics game jersey, shorts, and gear
College recruiting process guidance and support
Access to NEVBC coaches for private and small group training
U15 Team Program
Our U15 Team will practice 2x/week in our gym for an expanded 17-week season and play a modified tournament schedule, with three regional 1-day tournaments. This program is perfect for multi-sport athletes who are looking to try club volleyball, with less of a commitment than the U16-U18 level teams.
Tournament Dates: Jan 4, Jan 25 or 26, and Feb 29
Head Coach: Coach Frog (Mark) Ogilvie
U16 - U18 Teams Program & Costs
Our U16-U18 teams will practice 3x/week in our gym for an expanded 17-week season, including one Compete Day on the weekends. In addition, these teams will have a volleyball-specific strength and conditioning program in partnership with Upper Deck Fitness, which will include 2 weekly workouts before or after team practice. These teams will play a competitive tournament schedule and attend at least one qualifier. Team rosters will be kept small to increase each athlete's game experience, so this program requires the highest level of commitment.
Program Cost: $2750 + $525 Travel Fee
Does not include Nationals postseason practice and tournament entry fees.
Head Coaches: Coach Jon Mercado & Coach Matt Somerville

"Coach Jon has been deeply embedded in the boys volleyball community for almost a decade and has been instrumental in the growth of the sport here. We are sure that Jon's efforts and experience will translate into an incredibly successful program under the Northeast banner. Our goal for NEVBC Boys is to start small, expose players to the highest level of coaching, and focus on technical training for all athletes, regardless of age and level."
