Sunday, October 9th, 7:00 - 8:30PM: NEVBC Boys Club Open House

Monday, October 10th: Tryout registration CLOSES! All athletes must register before midnight on Tuesday

Wednesday, October 12th, Friday, October 14th & Saturday, October 15th - Boys Club Tryouts for all Age Groups

Boys tryout registration will CLOSE TWO days before the first session to ensure we have time to plan and run a fair tryout!

Wednesday, October 5th: Tryout registration will open for Girls Open, Club, and Regional! Save $25 if you register before October 15th!

Saturday, October 15th: Early bird tryout registration ENDS (tryout fee goes up to $75)

Tuesday, November 1st: FREE Pre-Tryout Clinic for U12-U14

Week of Monday, November 28th: Take a much-needed recovery from your high school or middle school fall season and prep for club!

Week of Monday, December 5th: First day of Girls team practices!

Girls tryout registration will CLOSE THREE days before the first session for your age group to ensure we have time to plan and run a fair tryout!

How to Register for Tryouts
​
You will need a 2022-2023 USA Volleyball membership** to register for tryouts. Please make sure you have these items BEFORE starting your registration for tryouts, as you will be asked to upload these during registration!

Register or renew your USA Volleyball membership** through SportsEngine for 2022-2023. Please note that the parent or guardian needs to make an account first and then add the athlete as a child member. If you plan on playing the whole club season, please select "Season" membership. If you select a "Tryout" USAV membership, you will have to upgrade after team selection if you make a team. Please save the membership ID and QR code (viewable in Apple Wallet or on the app) and upload to your tryout registration!

Register for team tryouts on our League Apps site for Boys or Girls Club.

Click here for a helpful chart regarding age group definitions. If your athlete is young for their grade, please sign them up with their grade level (U14 = 7th & 8th, U15 = 9th, U16 = 10th, etc).
**Note re USA Volleyball Memberships: The USA Volleyball membership system has changed to SportsEngine, so the process for renewing your membership has changed this year. For example, you will not select your club affiliation during the registration process, as the club will invite you to a team roster after team placements have been made. Please read through this page from New England Region if you're having any issues with creating or renewing your membership.

Tryout Costs and Late Registrations
​
Tryout Fee:
Due to the rising upfront costs for club teams (uniform deposits, tournament fees, etc.), we will be collecting a REFUNDABLE club team deposit at the time of tryout registration. This will be returned via the original payment method (credit card, ACH, or check) if an athlete is not selected for a team or does not accept their spot.

Boys Regional/Open/Club Team Tryouts

$75 NON-REFUNDABLE tryout fee per athlete

+ $225 REFUNDABLE club team deposit (if an athlete does not make a team) = $300 total due at registration
Girls Regional/Open/Club Team Tryouts​
-
$50 NON-REFUNDABLE tryout fee per athlete until October 15th ($75 after that)
-
+ $325 REFUNDABLE club team deposit (if an athlete does not make a team) = $375 (EARLY BIRD) OR $400 (NON-EARLY BIRD) total due at tryout registration

Tryout Deadline & Late Registrations:
Boys Regional/Open/Club Team Tryouts​: Tryout registration closes on October 10th
Girls Regional/Open/Club Team Tryouts: Tryout registration closes 3 DAYS before your age group's first session

Teams We Plan to Field This Year

BOYS OPEN & CLUB Teams we plan to run this year (subject to change): 18 Open, 18 Club, 17 Open, 16 Open, 16 Club, 15 Open, 15 Club, & 14 Club

BOYS REGIONAL Teams we plan to run this year (subject to change): Two to three U14/15 Regional teams

GIRLS CLUB & OPEN Teams we plan to run this year (subject to change): 18 Open, 18 Club, 17 Open, 17 Club, 16 Open, 16 Club (up to two 16 Club teams), 15 Open, 15 Club, 14 Open, 14 Club (up to two 14 Club teams), 13 Club, & 12 Club

GIRLS REGIONAL Teams we plan to run this year (subject to change): 3-4 teams in each of the U13-U16 age groups, and at least two teams in the U17 age group

Video Submission Option:
If you have to miss tryouts for any reason (including CIAC rules), we are also accepting video submissions as an evaluation tool. Here's what we are looking for:

15+ minutes of continuous match or practice footage
-
A 2-3 minutes highlight video
Please note that you will still have to register and pay for tryouts on League Apps, but just make a note that you'll be sending video instead of attending in person.

For Girls Club & Open Teams: Please send your submission to cat@northeastvbc.com and garrett@northeastvbc.com at least 48 hours before tryouts start for your age group to ensure time for a thorough video assessment.

For Boys Club & Open Teams: Please send your submission to cat@northeastvbc.com and jon@northeastvbc.com at least 48 hours before tryouts start for your age group to ensure time for a thorough video assessment.
