Summer Classes at NEVBC are LIVE! After a successful summer last year, we are excited to continue with some of our favorite classes and offer new classes and formats in 2021. This summer is (again) going to look a little different, with smaller class sizes and rigorous COVID-19 protocols, but we are grateful for every minute we get to train on the court.
Our summer class lineup was designed with every level of play in mind. With classes ranging from a focus on general volleyball skills and fundamental development to advanced positional training and high-level Varsity and Collegiate Training programs, NEVBC is offering classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players alike. We're also offering our NEW High School Team Preseason camps for school teams looking to get ready for the fall season!
All age divisions are based on the grade the athlete will enter for the UPCOMING 2021-2022 school year.
*NEW* Refund Policy
Given the high demand of our summer classes, we've tightened up our refund policy to limit the number of no-shows and open spots. Please see below for our updated refund policy:
No refunds will be given within 5 days of the camp start date. For example, athletes must notify us of a cancellation by the Wednesday before a Monday class start date in order to receive a refund for that class
Exceptions to our refund policy will include illness, mandated quarantines, and emergencies.
In order to limit the number of absences due to weekend travel, we have changed most of our classes to 3 or 4 day sessions (Mon-Thurs or Mon-Wed), with Fridays being reserved for 1 Day Intensive programs and Rep Sessions. We will no longer be prorating for planned missed sessions.
In the event of classes being canceled due to COVID-19 prevention protocols or stay-at-home mandates, all classes will be prorated and refunded. We are hopeful for an uninterrupted summer schedule!

Summer Class FAQs
Do I need to pre-register for programs?
YES. Online registration is required. We will not be accepting any walk-up or drop-in athletes at our summer classes, and we anticipate that many classes will fill up.
What are you doing to ensure a safe environment in the gym with COVID-19?
Athlete safety will continue to be our top priority this summer, as we maintain daily self-check-ins, temperature checks, mask-wearing at all times, and cleaning and sanitizing protocols. If you'd like to learn more about what we've been doing during COVID-19 and what you can expect in the gym, please check out our updated safety protocols.
The class I want to sign up for is full. What should I do?
If a class if full, please sign up for the waitlist! We anticipate that some classes will fill up fast. If we receive enough demand for a particular class, we will try to open up an additional session or court to accommodate waitlisted athletes!
What will happen if my class is canceled?
In the event of classes being canceled due to COVID-19 prevention protocols, required quarantines, or stay-at-home mandates, all classes will be prorated or refunded. We are hopeful for an uninterrupted summer schedule.
How do I know which class is right for me?
Check out our Summer Class Booklet with details on each of our summer class offerings. The description of each class will note if the class is beginner, intermediate, or advanced, and what you can expect. Please read these carefully and ensure you're signing up for the right class for your current level and age (all ages are based on the UPCOMING 2021-2022 school year),
If you are new to NEVBC, please get in touch with our Youth Director, Shawn Hoyt at firstname.lastname@example.org with class placement questions.
Do I need to be a NEVBC club player to sign up for classes?
Not at all! Classes are open to all athletes, regardless of previous club affiliation. For our Collegiate, Elite Positional Training, and Varsity level classes, we will ask for film (please email to Shawn Hoyt at email@example.com) or an in-person evaluation for any athletes who are new to NEVBC.
What is the level of your All Skills classes?
For our High School and Middle School All-Skills classes, the level is mixed among the courts, ranging from beginner athletes to athletes who have played for their school or have club team experience. All athletes will receive instructions in all of the key skills needed for success in our sport, as well as competitive game play.
What is the level of your advanced classes?
For our Collegiate Preseason, Varsity Preseason, Elite Positional Classes, and Advanced Rep Sessions (not open yet!), the expectation is that these athletes are highly skilled in all the fundamentals (NEVBC Open team or college level) and looking for high-level strategic and specific positional instruction.
New athletes will be asked for film (please email to Shawn Hoyt at firstname.lastname@example.org) or an in-person evaluation to enter these classes. Our Advanced Classes include:
Elite Positional Classes
Advanced Rep Sessions
Will you be adding more classes?
We will be adding rep sessions and other one-day classes as we get closer to the summer and finalize our staffing availability. Be sure to subscribe to our emails and check our Instagram feed and stories for updates on new classes!
Thank you for training with us this summer!
