Northeast Volleyball Club's classes give young athletes world-class volleyball instruction in a fun and positive environment. All class curriculum is developed and taught by our Directors and Head Coaches. Learn more about our class offerings below, and if you are not sure what class is the best fit for you, please reach out to our Youth Director Shawn Hoyt at

We also offer private and small group training with our Lead and Head Coaches. In our experience, these sessions work best when paired with classes or team training, in order to use the skills learned in a game-like setting. To schedule a private lesson, please reach out to, to match you with a coach based on skills, level, and availability.

Mini Volley (Grades 2-5)

Learning volleyball at a young age can be tough! Our Mini Volley classes introduces volleyball and competition to young athletes in a modified playing environment, where they can find success in our complex sport. All Mini Volley classes are coed.

Classes will focus on technical skill development and mini-games to build strong fundamentals and foster a love for the game.

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

Middle School classes are one of the best ways to get involved in volleyball early on, without the time commitment of a club team. All Middle School classes are coed.

Classes focus on teaching players HOW the game is played to prepare them for their middle school teams, club programs, and eventually their high school programs.

High School (Grades 9-12)

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of classes for High School athletes at different levels. These classes are for either girls or boys, as they play on different net heights.

Read on for more detail on the types of classes offered and what level may be the best fit!

  • Our Level 1/Developmental classes are for athletes who are new or relatively new to the game of volleyball looking to try volleyball or to make their high school team the following season. The clinic is focused on developing fundamental skills through technique work (passing, setting, attacking, and serving) and modified gameplay (2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3), in order to introduce athletes to the game and prepare them for their high school tryouts.

  • Our Level 2/Intermediate classes are for athletes looking to develop their game further. To join these clinics, players should have a consistent overhead serve and the ability to forearm pass and set with control. These classes are ideal for athletes who are looking to join a Club Team in the  future, or for current Club athletes who want an extra day of training. The clinic is centered around gameplay, with a consistent emphasis on fundamental skills, in order to prepare athletes for their JV and Varsity teams.

  • Our Advanced Classes (Positional Academics/COMPETE Camps) are for skilled athletes currently play club who are looking to take their game or positional skills to the next level. For athletes who are new to NEVBC, a highlight video or in-person assessment is required to register for these sessions.
